Getting the History Right
We are capturing history on these very pages! We
have accounted for some of the years of Creek
Football history, but want it all. Sure, not every year
was a State Championship (although eight isn't so
shabby), but every one was memorable. If you see a
year missing, help us rectify it, with a summary and
photos. We'll give you credit and a small gift that will
make you the envy of those who passed through

The mission of the Fred Tesone Alumni Foundation is to nurture the legacy, tradition and camaraderie
football, we champion an environment of athletic and academic excellence for all those who wear the
red, white and blue.

Fred Tesone, the Coach
Tesone played football at the University of Denver, and coached football at Cherry Creek for
twenty-seven years ('62-'89). He compiled a record of 243-64-3, a winning percentage of 78.3. Tesone is
Colorado's third all-time winningest high school football coach. He ranks 10th all-time in Colorado with 3
state titles ('82, '83, '86). Tesone was inducted into the Colorado High School Coaches Association
Hall-of-Fame in 1996, the University of Denver Athletics Hall-of-Fame in 1999, and the Colorado Sports
Hall-of-Fame in 2004. Tesone and his sons were inducted as the inagural members to the Cherry Creek
Football Hall-of-Fame in 2010.
