COACH BROOKHART
Coach Brookhart brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Cherry Creek High School Football
Program. His background includes coaching a number of sports at Cherry Creek, Golden High School, and
Heritage High School from 1985 to 2002 with great success in those roles. He also served as the Director of
Athletics at Heritage High School from 1997 to 2002. In 2002, Mike returned to Cherry Creek as the Head
Boys Basketball Coach.

On the football field, Coach Brookhart has served on the Cherry Creek staff for many years, including in
1991 when Coach Brookhart called the plays for the offense. Mike also served as offensive coordinator for
Mike Griebel at Heritage from 1994-96 where they qualified for the State Playoffs. Mike's younger brother,
J.D., was the Head Football Coach at Akron University, and is presently an assistant at University of
Colorado, while his father, Jack, a long time coach at Creek, returns to the football staff as the offensive
line coach.
